According to the Harvard (the premier American University)
Business Review, 91% of small businesses do absolutely nothing
to retain their existing clients. That means only 9% of small
business owners 'get' these facts:
- The average business loses 50% of its customer base every
5 years.
- An existing customer spends an average of 67% more than new
customers.
- It costs 7 to 9 times more to acquire a new customer than it
does to retain an old one.
Here are some questions for you to ponder?
Do you have a plan for keeping in touch with your existing
customer base?
How many of your existing cutomers over the last two years are
you still in touch with?
How much business are you getting from existing customers?
Do you know how much money you could have saved by keeping in
touch with your customers?
Do you how much plumbing work you have lost (by not keeping in
touch) from your previous customers?
Finally and most importantly, do you even want to keep in
touch with your clients?
