It doesn't end with advertising, though, does it?  Strictly speaking, advertising creates prospects not customers, and these prospects then have to be converted into paying customers.  Once again, there are traditional ways of converting prospects, and there are also 21st century ways.  Incidentally, the 21st century ways (hint: a proper Web System) are much much cheaper than traditional ways.

Return on Investment (ROI) for a proper Web System is in the region of 10:1.  These aren't fanatasy figures by the way.
